Description

Surgical robotics for every operating roomRevolve is building the world’s only surgical robot designed for every operating room. Its simple yet powerful design makes it the only robot that can service the 1M+ abdominal surgeries performed outside of hospitals in the US every year. The founders met at the top surgical robotics lab in the country where they worked on next-generation surgical tools for the da Vinci Surgical System. Collectively, they’ve worked on medical robots for applications in general surgery, ENT, urology, dentistry and neurosurgery; medical imaging AI (ex-Swift Medical); rehabilitation devices, surgical instruments for pediatrics; the Ford GT; and a lunar rover. Revolve’s surgical robotics platform has been developed in collaboration with over 50 surgeons, resulting in a system that is just 1% of the size and cost of competitor devices. The robot has been validated through animal testing, and the company has secured LOIs from Buffalo General Hospital and Pearl Women’s Center.
