QTool is the first MOULD ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING PROCESS tailored for

  • Plastic injection molds.
  • Maraging steel inserts
  • LPBF Additive Manufacturing
  • Tailored heat treatment for higher quality insert
  • No cost increase with complex geometry

QTool’s technical team will perform structural optimization of the inserts before production resulting in considerable time and cost reduction.

We will then use the latest LPBF Additive Manufacturing Technology to produce inserts in Maraging Steel with conformal cooling systems.

ABOUT COMPANY

QTool develops a scalable design workflow tailored to the tooling sector that works with any Additive Manufacturing system, plastic or metal.

The innovative aspect of QTool’s design method is the usage of TPMS lattice structure called Gyroid that has been invented in the 70s by a NASA scientist and has been recently proved a big success in other sectors such the aerospace and the defense industry.

This success is translated in increasing the thermal efficiency by up to 10x if used in cooling or heating application and material usage reduction, i.e additive manufacturing cost, if used in lightweight applications.

In QTool, we combine both applications in our design workflow to provide ground-breaking tools and molds.
